Working for a specialist engineering company based in Bacup, specialists in sheet-metal fabrication and specialist welding. Due to an expanding order book my client are looking for an experienced press brake operator.
The Job
- Operating and setting press brakes (AMADA)
- Reading, interpreting, and working from engineering drawings
- Responsible for operating machinery used to bend and shape metal sheets into various forms requiring high precision and accuracy.
About you
- Time-served Press Brake Operator with a minimum of 3 years’ experience
- Proven experience operating and setting press brakes (AMADA)
- Confident reading, interpreting, and working from engineering drawings
Desirable
- Skilled in working to tight tolerances; accurate bending and folding of sheet metal
- Experience inputting data into CNC controls and adjusting machine settings
- Sheet metal background
- Experience with guillotines and general fabrication equipment
- MIG welding capability to support fabrication tasks as needed
