Do you have excellent customer service and phone skills? Do you have experience working in a technical support environment, have some knowledge of electronics and/ or have a good aptitude and ability to learn about technical products?

 

The Job Role

  • Support the technical manager in the provision of application support and maintenance services;
  • Support and maintain customer relationships;
  • Contribute to the transfer of skills and knowledge within the tech support team;
  • Liaise with customers via email and phone to resolve technical support issues;
  • Create and maintain detailed service support documentation relevant to the customer applications where required;
  • Be responsible and take ownership of Incidents and Service Requests raised by the customer;
  • Identification of continual service improvement initiatives as part of technical support team;
  • Possess confidence in applications to facilitate knowledge sharing when dealing with the customer and other 3rd parties;
  • Working with application monitoring and management tools, loading software, setup of applications and configuration of IP hardware devices.

About You:

  • Working knowledge of Windows based computers is essential;
  • Experience of working in a Tech support/Agile environment is preferential, but not essential;
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), including the ability to listen effectively;
  • Ability to translate technical issues into user friendly language;
  • An excellent team player;
  • Quick learner;
  • Strong self-awareness, and a capacity to reflect on own practice and to learn from mistakes;
  • Possess a curious approach to problem solving
