Are you an apprenticeship trained CNC Programmer? This is a permanent position working for an established and successful world leader in precision manufacturing of parts for the fuel industry.

The role

Reporting directly to the Engineering manager, the main purpose of the role is to ensure efficient and effective production and maintenance of new and existing programs. Using your experience of engineering and manufacturing to introduce and integrate new products smoothly into manufacture.

The Job

• Using CAM packages SmartCAM and GibbsCAM to create, implementing and maintaining programs for use on various manufacturing processes.
• The role will involve using your knowledge to compile machining times for costing and quoting purposes.
• Liaise with tooling suppliers and engineers to find best value solutions.
• Using CREO(Pro engineer) the role demands you to be proficient with interrogating models to produce programs for machined profiles.
• Working methodically within existing departmental policies, procedures, and standards.

About you

• Must be apprenticeship trained
• Will have previously held an engineering production/manufacturing role.
• Have an excellent understanding of engineering drawings geometrical tolerancing and dimensioning.
• Have experience of using computer software packages to generate CNC Programmes.
• Have an ability to demonstrate a good depth of engineering knowledge that determines attention to detail and a “right first time” approach is essential.
