The job:

Placing, progressing and maintaining orders ensuring the system is updated with lead times and confirmations once received from suppliers

Initiate savings initiatives and work towards a set annual target

Negotiate prices, payment terms and shipping requirements

Ensuring all deliveries are received on time and in full, with all necessary paperwork

Form tender preparation via RFQ and NPD Process

Maintain material pricing on Business Central

MRO (Maintenance, repairs, operations) buying

Monitor and manage OTIF expectations of supply base

Liaise and develop good communications with supply partners

Deal with invoice queries and other queries (internal and external) as required ensuring a timely response

Manage Facilities – ensuring we are compliant with H&S Legislation

Liaising with Production manager in regards to KANBAN requirements to ensure these are running effectively

About you:

Purchasing experience and a track record of working strategically with suppliers

Excellent communication skills and commercial acumen

Good working knowledge of Excel and MRP Systems
